Let´s twist: Levo- or dextrorotatory carbon-nanotube (CNT) arrays are twisted into a double helix (see picture) on a layered double hydroxide flake through a self-organization process during growth by chemical vapor deposition. The as-grown CNT arrays in the double helix are able to carry a high current that can be modulated.
